Walk it. Loop it. Own it.

TerraLoop turns real-world movement into a territory control game. Close a loop on foot, bike, or in a car and the ground inside it becomes your team's land — encircle enemy zones to capture them whole, or cut across one to carve away a slice.

Features

A real map. A real ledger. Real stakes.

Every loop is validated server-side, so territory is earned, not spoofed.

Loop-based capture

Close a loop and the enclosed area becomes territory. Encircle an enemy zone to take it whole, or overlap it to carve away a slice.

🛡️

Teams & leadership

Join a team, merge territory with teammates, and compete on a shared season ledger — with a real cost for jumping ship.

🏆

Seasons & leaderboard

Points persist across a season independent of the live map, so a raid on your land doesn't erase what your team already earned.

📡

Server-side anti-cheat

Speed, teleport, and GPS-spoofing checks run authoritatively on the server — the client is never trusted for the final call.

🔔

Live notifications

Get pinged the moment someone captures or raids your territory, a teammate joins, or the leaderboard shifts under you.

🗺️

Walk, bike, or drive

Three movement modes, each with its own speed limits and area caps, so the game plays fair whether you're on foot or behind the wheel.

Territory decays

Land nobody revisits starts shrinking after 10 days and disappears entirely below a quarter acre. Holding ground takes upkeep, not just a one-time claim.

🎨

Make your mark

Every team picks its own color, fill pattern, and emblem — or uploads a custom logo — so territory on the map is instantly recognizable as yours.

🚩

Live events & replays

Join time-boxed team contests to hold a region before the clock runs out, then watch any of your own routes play back as an animated trail.

How it works

From a walk to a claim

Record a route

Start an activity and move — the app tracks your GPS route live while you walk, bike, or drive.

Close the loop

Bring your route back within 100 ft (30 m) of where you started. The server checks it's a real, valid closed shape of at least half an acre (2,000 m²).

Claim the ground

The enclosed area is credited to your team — capturing, shrinking, or merging territory depending on who was standing there.

Movement modes

Every mode plays by its own rules

Walk

Up to 0.77 sq mi per loop (2 km²)

Bike

Up to 9.65 sq mi per loop (25 km²)

Drive

Up to 115.8 sq mi per loop (300 km²)

FAQ

Common questions

Everything you need to know before your first loop.

Do I need to be moving fast to close a loop?

No — walk, jog, bike, or drive. Each mode has its own speed limits enforced server-side so nobody can cheat by driving a "walking" loop, but there's no minimum pace.

How is TerraLoop different from other GPS fitness games?

TerraLoop rewards enclosed area, not distance. Encircle a park, a neighborhood, or a whole district and the interior becomes your team's territory. Encircle an opponent and you capture their zone whole.

Is my location data private?

Route replays are owner-only by default. Only aggregate territory shapes are visible on the shared map, and every route uses HTTPS to reach the server.

What happens if I stop playing?

Territory nobody revisits starts to shrink after 10 days and disappears below a quarter acre. Holding ground takes upkeep — active teams stay on the map.

Is TerraLoop free?

Yes — the core game is free during beta. Pro-tier unlocks (customization, extended replays) may be introduced at launch.
