Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the TerraLoop app and server (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use the Service. On Apple platforms, these terms are the End User License Agreement (EULA) between you and TerraLoop for the app; Apple is not a party to it.

The Service

TerraLoop is a location-based game: you record real-world movement (walking, biking, or driving) as GPS routes, and closed loops claim territory for your team, subject to the gameplay rules described in the app.

Your account

• You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials confidential.
• You're responsible for activity recorded under your account.
• You must be able to lawfully use location services in your jurisdiction (e.g. old enough to consent to data processing under local law).

Play fair

Do not use GPS spoofing, mock-location tools, automation, or any other method to fake your location or movement. The Service runs server-side anti-cheat checks; accounts found circumventing them may have activities rejected, territory reversed, or be suspended or terminated.

Real-world safety

TerraLoop involves moving through real-world locations, including on foot, by bike, or in a vehicle. You are solely responsible for your own safety and for following all applicable traffic laws, property rights, and local regulations while playing — including never using the app in a way that distracts you while driving. Don't trespass to claim territory.

Territory & season data

Territory, season points, and team standing are gameplay state, not a purchased or guaranteed asset. We may reset seasons, rebalance gameplay rules, or wipe territory data as described in-app (e.g. at the end of a season) without liability to you.

Subscriptions (TerraLoop Pro)

TerraLoop Pro is an optional paid tier that unlocks cosmetic and quality-of-life features (enhanced route data, live fitness stats, extended history). It's sold either as an auto-renewable subscription (monthly or yearly) or as a one-time lifetime unlock.

• Price and term. The price, billing period, and free-trial length (if any) shown on the paywall at purchase apply to your subscription. Prices may change; we'll notify you before a change takes effect on your subscription.
• Auto-renewal. Auto-renewable subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price for that plan, and your payment method is charged, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
• How to cancel. Manage or cancel your subscription from your device's store account: on iOS in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, on Android in Google Play → Subscriptions, or from the Manage Subscription button inside the app. Cancelling stops the next renewal — you keep Pro until the current period ends.
• Refunds. Refunds are handled by the store that processed the purchase (Apple or Google) under that store's refund policy; we don't process store refunds directly.
• Lifetime unlock. The one-time lifetime purchase grants Pro access for as long as the Service is operated; it does not auto-renew.

Suspension & termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the Service, or attempt to compromise its integrity or other players' experience.

Disclaimer & limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, TerraLoop is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including injury or loss arising from real-world activity undertaken while playing.

Apple App Store terms

For copies of the Service downloaded from Apple's App Store, the following also applies: this agreement is between you and TerraLoop only, not Apple; TerraLoop is solely responsible for the app and its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligation for the app, and any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty are the sole responsibility of TerraLoop. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the app or your use of it, including product-liability, legal or regulatory, and intellectual-property claims. If a third party claims the app infringes their intellectual property, TerraLoop (not Apple) is solely responsible for investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of that claim. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

Changes

We may update these terms as the Service evolves. Material changes will update the "Last updated" date above; continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms.
